SUMMARY: The Fall Conference of the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) begins on November 30, 2005. A General Session will be conducted during the conference to formally nominate and elect ACWA’s President and Vice President for the 2006-07 term. ACWA has requested that if the District desires to participate in the election, the Board must appoint a voting delegate to the conference. Director Judi Lehman plans to attend the conference, and has volunteered to serve as the District’s voting delegate. Ms Lehman is the only Director that will be attending the conference.

RECOMMENDATION: Appoint Judi Lehman to serve as a voting delegate to the Fall ACWA conference for the purpose of electing a President and Vice President for the 2006-07 term.

IMPACTS TO STAFF RESOURCES: There is no fee for the voting delegate to participate in the election.
